Joshua has been passionate about birding since the age of three. Growing up in Johannesburg, he spent his early years traveling South Africa in search of it’s rarest and most elusive species.

Joshua’s passion for birding, conservation and guiding has led him to complete the FGASA NQF4 bird specialist course and even be awarded the Birdlife South Africa Owlet Award in 2018. Joshua loves sharing his interest in the natural world with others, and said interest extends far beyond birding, encompassing other wildlife such as mammals, reptiles, amphibians, butterflies and dragonflies.
